Musicians in the time of COVID-19

Sooo, I am going to leave this one short but there are a few things I would like to say before I need to attend a music and arts meeting hosted by my director.
As we are all feeling, things have not been easy. How does one balance being a musician, full time parent, teacher, and just all around person needing space?
I have been finding practice time to be very beneficial toward my sanity. As a citizen of New York State we have gone through the ringer to come out in pretty decent shape on the other side only to find that other states have not heeded the advice of our medical experts and so the good people of NY are finding themselves stuck at home regardless of the positive direction of our infection rate.
That being said, practice time allows you some level of escapism, conscious thought, decision making not involving the mundane, and expressive outlet.
As an educator, your guess is as good as mine what the future of my class will look like. State guidelines only allow students within a 12 foot radius of each other so the real estate in my classroom is going to be an issue. I won't be able to see more than a few students at a time and the question of concerts is completely up in the air right now. Marching Band camp has been cancelled and so I am planning on redirecting my group into a pep band if there is a call for one. We shall see.
Private performance is at an all time low right now as concerts cannot be held for fear of transmission so I have been trying to get my stuff out there on Facebook, this website, and Instagram. Wish me luck.
